Week in the Life|Picture My Life|Tuesday Photos & Words

Day 2 - Another of my goals this year is to post my daily photos & words on my blog. This takes significantly more energy than I usually have at the end of the day…but I'm committed to doing it. I was really encouraged by Ali's response to my Facebook post yesterday -- "You can do it!" Thanks for the support :) I'm also playing around with the formatting, would love to hear your feedback.

Here's what my typical Tuesday looked like.

Week in the Life|Picture My Life|Monday Photos & Words

This is my 2nd year participating in WITL. Last year I felt I failed miserably; by mid week I had stopped journaling/documenting & I found it extremely difficult to find things to photograph as the week went on (not having children makes the days seem pretty uneventful). But I did print a few dozen photos & put them together in Memory protectors using Picture My Life products -- they have yet to be put into an album, but I'm formulating a plan. I also discovered that I'm HORRIBLE at taking selfies. And, in general, just don't like taking photos of myself. But it was a start.

This year, my goal is to take the "required" daily photo of myself. I'm still not good at selfies, but with the new camera timer on the new iOS (thanks Ali, I downloaded it last night!) it's getting easier. I love the whole concept of this week; capturing reality, instead of what you think your life should be or what you want others to think your life is. If you're new to WITL, check out Ali's blog

Trick or Treats?

Halloween is next week, are you ready for the festivities? I embellished these cute paper straws I found at the party store; it was quick & easy with my Cricut doing all the cutting for me! I used the Art Artiste cartridge (page 62) to do all the cutting. Then I stamped on White Daisy card stock with Black, Autumn Terracotta, Topiary & Gypsy inks.
This is the stamp set I used Trick or Treat Sweets - the images are just the right size for these straws.

I'm taking witches brew to a Halloween party this weekend - I think these straws will be a spooktacular addition! Looking for more easy treat solutions? Check out this Cut Above Halloween treat bag kit.

Everything is pre cut & ready to assemble. Order by this weekend to get it in time for Halloween. Happy Haunting!

Each month we'll make a sampler that corresponds with the holiday that month. Using the new home decor Shadow Box (available in two colors) we'll create an adorable holiday decoration for your home -- or for a gift! Your friends & family will love them! With our hook & loop dots, you'll easily be able to swap out the 12x12 sampler page each month. The page will then slide into your photo album as a great title page or you can store it for use next year!

How do you get started? Sign up for my monthly club by purchasing your initial supplies during the month of September. Everyone who purchases their frame this month will be added to a drawing for a FREE bonus embellishment that can be used on your samplers to add extra bling!

Purchase your items from my website & they'll be shipped directly to you or contact me to combine your order with my September order.

When do you assemble? We'll meet the 2nd Sunday of the month @ 1pm in Lynnwood. Because there's no stamping involved in this project, it shouldn't take more than an hour to assemble! Please see below for specific dates. RSVP each month via my Facebook event/page. If you can't make it, I'll provide you with all the supplies & you can assemble at your convenience!

What is the cost? The supplies you purchase in September will be used every month. Please see below for the monthly club items needed. Once you complete 8 samplers, I'll give you the 9th one FREE! Prices do not include tax & shipping.

October 12 @ 1pm - Halloween
November 9 @ 1pm - Thanksgiving
December 14 @ 1pm - Christmas

Welcome to the Evergreen Memories Team & Friends 2014-2015 Annual Inspirations New Product blog hop! If you've come from Carla's page featuring the new Chalk It Up paper, thanks for stopping by. Several of the items featured on the blog hop use the August stamp of the month, which you can purchase for only $5 with any $50 order. And many feature shapes cut from our three exclusive Cricut cartridges.

I'm so proud to be part of a team with these super talented ladies. I hope you enjoy the beautiful artwork we've created with the fabulous new products Close To My Heart has provided for us.

Last week, I gave you a sneak peek of all our projects. Here's mine - one of the 2 Christmas paper packets - Snowhaven. Every year, I think CTMH has created my "new" favorite snow-themed paper…and every year they come up with one I love more!

I really like the black & Whisper (gray) accents in Snowhaven. This packet also features one of the new card stock colors, Glacier. Another favorite! I used all 3 of our Cricut cartridges for ALL my projects. Did you know that many of our stamps coordinate with our Cricut cuts? Makes putting cards & tags together quick & easy!! And of course, some washi tape, sparkles & shimmer trim for a little bling :)
