Tea-rrific | March SOTM | Blog Hop

Welcome to our Stamp of the Month Blog Hop!

We will be featuring March's SOTM, which is Tea-rrific. If you have come here from Darlys' Blogyou are on the right path! The blog hop is a great big circle, so you can start here and work your way all around. (If you get lost along the way, you’ll find the complete list of participating consultants on Melinda’s Blog.)

This is such a popular stamp, this month we have 30 Close To My Heart Consultants sharing their creations on their blogs. This is simple to do - just click on the link at the end of the post on each blog to move to the next one. Leave a comment, if you like what you see. We love to get your feedback. Here we go!

March SOTM
I had so much fun creating with this stamp set! I sometimes feel like I get in a rut, creating cards that are the same shape/size all the time. So I decided to use a 5.5" square card base this month, cut from our Kraft paper (although you can't see the base in my photos). The large polka dot pattern in the Sugar Rush paper packet needs a little extra room to really pop - I think it worked!?

I used a technique called "paper piecing" with the stacked tea cups. I stamped the image in Slate ink on three different pattern papers. Then I cut out one cup from each paper & stacked them back up. I'm really please how it turned out.

I also designed this tea bag holder (inspired by Tina Law) for an upcoming event. These are going to make great little gifts!

  4. I love the bold background pattern you used--I've had a hard time using that particular pattern so thanks for showing me it can be done with a great result.
