The Long Way Home | June SOTM

Last month, I had a visit from my long-time college friend & her family. She has three girls who love to do crafts, so I had some fun projects for them to do while they were here.

They each got to make cards, a journal & Picture My Life (pocket scrapbook) layout using the June stamp of the month - The Long Way Home. This stamp set is perfect for summer road trip albums!

The journals turned out really cute! 

For the Picture My Life (PML) layouts, we used the same stamp set to make our own PML cards & added a few more (retired) cards. I used my layout for photos from a recent weekend getaway. I hope the girls used there's for their SD trip photos!

We all (even Mom) had a great time staying up late & crafting together! What a fun summer it's been :)

3rd Annual Log Cabin Retreat

In May, I traveled back to WA (yes, I had just moved from there a few weeks before) to spend 4 fun-filled days with some of my favorite crafty friends. We had a wonderful weekend; it was relaxing, productive & full of laughs -- and wine!

One of the projects we worked on was this adorable perpetual birthday book (inspired by Michele Rowley) using the Cricut Artistry cartridge & a Picture My Life card kit. Week in the Life|Picture My Life|Saturday Photos & Words

Saturday was a whirlwind. It's my 3rd Annual Great Pumpkin Party. Each year I challenge myself & my friends to concoct tasty treats using our favorite fall food - pumpkin. And we also pick a fall themed craft to do - it's pretty much a Pinterest party :) It's a day filled with food & fun with friends. I'm going to let the photos speak for themselves today, since I'm playing catch up!

Week in the Life|Picture My Life|Thursday Photos & Words

Today was a dark, dreary day. My photo taking is starting to decrease - as you'll see in my photo count…it's so hard for me to stay focused on the task after the halfway point. And to find something new to photo graph at this point in the week. I guess it reflects my feelings by Thursdays; just trying to power thru & hang on till the weekend!? The vibrant color of the trees is what's still jumping out at me. Trying to notice the little things.

Week in the Life|Picture My Life|Wednesday Words & Photos

It's half way through the week & I'm feeling like I might get farther this year than I did last year! Having a few goals has been helpful. And now I'm starting to get excited about putting my layouts together in a few weeks at our annual fall retreat. I'm thinking the For Always Picture My Life set is going to be perfect.

Each set comes with a variety of 10 12x12 Memory Protectors. And I can supplement with my own pocket card designs using our newest Cricut cartridge, Artfully Sent. If you haven't seen this cartridge yet, you must check it out!

I'm still thinking about what album I'll use…I'll post my decision by the end of the week.
